All really good with Rik, we even had a bottle of wine waiting for us :)
The house is simply amazing and the location is really good.
Good location, fully equipped and unique house with plenty of room. Everything we needed for a four nights stay in Brussels. Extra plus for quick replies from the landlord.
A great vacation and an amazing accomodation. Perfect for larger groups who seek more than a simple place to sleep. The place instantely captures your imagination and offers manifold options for spending time together. It is located super central and you can get everywhere easily. The basic conditions of contact, key collection etc. worked out great. This place can really be recommended!
We stayed at this amazing house with 8 friends for a nice weekend in Brussel. The house it self and the great location ( 5 minute walk to the grand place and just around the corner there are numerous restaurants and great bars.) made our weekend one to remember!
Loved just hanging out in the basement/kitchen which is simple but fully equipt.
Easy accesible by car and I would defenitly come back for another group weekend!
The accommodation in the "de Witte Leirsse 1557" was perfect!
We had a great time in Brussels and especially in the "de Witte Leirsse". The whole procedure (contact with Rik, pick up key´s, etc...) was absolutely uncomplicated.
We will definitly came back for a longer stay.
The Witte place was "our home" for few days. It's Incredible how being in the middle of everything, when you cross the door, you feel in a safe and comfortable ambiance. The big house becomes warm and looks as if you were living there for a longer time.
The host was very kind and attentive to any question and the people he puts around to assist us in case of need, were incredible helpful and quick in answer!
Good place to stay if you prefer be in the center, have room to do several activities -reading, work, cook-, have late conversations with your group and you have no problems in sharing the space (that was exactly our case).
We had already recommended the place and we will come back for sure!!.
Thanks Rik for everything!!
Very very nice little cosy home ! everything was perfectly prepared for us.
we had good time
We passed 3 days with 9 persons in this beautiful house and we had a very nice time, it's something really special, a great ambiance!!!
If you're a group of several persons and you want to stay directly in the old village, it's the best you can get!
Very central. Ideal for 3 or more. It's history shines out immediately; you feel transported back to 1500s Brussels yet only moments from its beating heart today.
Acres of space. It could comfortably sleep 8 but with larger parties there would be a need for some to use the second toilet in the basement.
The loft space is quite special with a great deal of exposed wood.
Again, a large party might have to toss a coin for the nicest spot to sleep (the own-door double bedroom on second floor) with the other beds essentially in open plan arrangement.
Pick-up and drop off of key is very simple and a big thumbs up for the 1557 overall. Well done to Rik too for the tender loving care that has gone into this historic structure - and I know he has even more enhancements planned in late 2013.
