Martin's place is just awesome. We won't spoil the surprise but we can tell you: staying at Martin's house is an unforgettable experience: peace, beauty, nature, culture.
Nice and friendly house - very lonely. Island is fantastic - suroundings even better. Close to Stockholm, definitely a very good location. Boat and Bikes included - very positive and especially the boat is perfect to go for fishing or visting close islands. 2 Bikes are for the island satisfactory.
We thourougly enjoyed our stay in Runmarö, in Martin´s charming summer house. It is a little walk to get there, but with Martin´s photo description easy to find. Once you arrive, you´re completely sheltered in what seems like a forest just for yourself. The house is cosy and outfitted with an apparent designer´s eye. We loved exploring the island with the bikes, went for a Kajak tour (ask for Morgan´s contact at Solberga Gard!) and even saw mooses in the deep forest. Definitely recommended for everybody who loves nature and wants a simple vacation to relax and slow down.
Everything was perfect!
The house wasn't very far on foot.
A quiet forest is around this charming house.
Thank you Martin.
A beautiful and comfortable house with a rich interior (TV, DVD-Player ...) amidst a picturesque and breathtaking nature. Not very easy to find, you first of all have to go through a thick forest and then climb a few rocks, but the beauty of the place recompenses this effort. Ideal for relaxing, walking, cycling and enyoing the beautiful nature of Sweden. Thumbs up for the house and place!
Was very nice an quiet House in the Wood of Isle Runmarö. The free Bikes and the Gasoline Boat were great! Thanks Martin!
It was an adventurous trip to get to the island and the cottage, especially when you carry the belongings for two weeks and 5 persons. When we arrived at the cottage we loved it at once. Its comfortable and figured out well, so we had all the important and tiny things you need to feel "at home". The space was sufficient, there was a shower and toilet outside and enough space for the kids to roam around. The island has wonderful cycling and walking paths, a nature full of berries and butterflies, however bathing is probably a bit difficult since there is just one public bathing space around 7 km from the cottage. But there is a small harbour nearby (it's called Stenbro where you can get into the water). The island has a tiny tourist information, a shop that is opened every day during summer, a restaurant and a bakery with delicious cinnamon rolls and self-made bread. Stockholm is in reach with public transport (ferry and bus) within 1-2 hours. And it's worth the visit. You can go by ferry to the other islands around, especially Sandhamn is worth seeing. Our host was very kind and helped a lot with tips and advice when we needed it. Thanks a lot. All in all, we have to give a 5 star rating for this unique experience.
It is a marvellous cabin in the middle of a wonderful nature, not far from a storied small lake in the forrest. The house, especially the kitchen is perfectly equiped, so you can find everything you need. We enjoyed sunbathing on the terrace and discovering the island with the bikes or by walking and travelled with the ferryboat to the next islands. Martin is a very nice and helpful person: Thanks again for sharing this place!
Wowee, what a find. We had a wonderful trip off the beaten path. The Island is beautiful and idyllic a perfect getaway. My top tip is to get directions in advance and check the ferry times!
