We rent our guest-room in our new, modern and stylist 2 bedrooms apartment. We also live in this apartment and would love to welcome you and give you the best tips from this fantastic city.
This is a new building so it has all the facilities like 2 lifts and an special entrance for disables!
The location can't be better for transport, as we are in Zone 1, in the heart of the city "Central London". The tube and rail way stations are just on the next block and a wide option of buses go past just on the corner. From here you can go to everywhere in London and very quick! You can go to Victoria, the main station in London, in just 15 min by bus which is really good for those who need to save time. In fact for those who like to walk you can even do it to the Big Ben.

This is a multicultural neighbourhood with all facilities and conveniences with plenty supermarkets, coffee shops, banks, cash points, etc.
All central London sights are reachable by bus which you can take just outside the building. That´s a great advantage because the tube fare is almost the double of the bus price!
Let's talk about your bedroom: It's cosy and with a super comfy king size bed perfect for a couple or for 2 people (everyone that has slept there says the same: what a great bed!). We bought the mattress very recently and yes, it's very comfortable for your back (it's not the cheap one). There is 1 bedside table and 1 bedside cabinet. There is also a desk and 2 very comfortable chairs and a TV to watch DVD's (I haven't install the British Channels as this is very expensive in London) but you can borrow a DVD from the collection on the entrance hall.
There is a wardrobe with hangers available so you will have plenty space for your clothes.
Bedlinen and towels are provided as well as a very reliable WiFi connection (Username & Password will be on the desk)
For a third guest I can add a single bed in the room but obviously that will cut space!
The bathrooms is very spacious, modern and as it's the only bathroom in the apartment so it would be shared with us. I always try to keep it clean and tidy for you.
Communal areas, like the bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared with us, my husband and I, we are very clean, tidy and respectful. I do understand that sometimes you don't want to share, as it has happen to some guests that have come to us. So think beforehand if you want to share. The positive thing about sharing is that your stay will be more rich, if you are open to have contact. You will have more local experience as we like to chat with our guests and offer them advice on their London sightseeing experience. Just ask us!!
The kitchen has all you may need for your breakfast! I'll leave in the fridge: milk, bread, orange juice, butter, jam, etc. There is also cereal, coffee/tee and biscuits available. You can use the kettle, toaster or microwave.
I don't offer use of the cooker or the kitchen for lunches or dinners. I understand some guests like to save money by having dinner at home but if you are looking to prepare meals then I have another apartment available for that! Have a look and book it in advance as it's very popular :)
Also...after having a guest misunderstanding I think I better clarify it as well: I don´t offer full English Breakfast neither serve it, but for those who like cereal, juice or toasts, I leave my kitchen loaded with different kind of cereal, bread, milk and juice for you to serve yourself, so you don´t need to worry about going out to having breakfast outside. Just please leave everything as you find it!
Check-in possible from any time but please note that the room will not be ready yet from the previous guests before 3pm so if you come earlier it will only be possible to drop off your luggage.
I'll need the room to be empty by 11 am but for later flights you can leave your luggage on the living room.

NOTE: DURING 15-21 DEC 2013 AND 12 FEB-8 MARCH 2014 THIS IS GOING TO BE RENTED AS A WHOLE APARTMENT AS WE ARE GOING ON HOLIDAYS. FOR THAT REASON THE PRICES ON THIS DAYS ARE HIGHER!
1. If you need to smoke it has to be outside the BUILDING.
2. THE KITCHEN USE IS STRICTLY ONLY FOR BREAKFAST. Please wash whatever you use. 3. The cupboard above the microwave it's ONLY PRIVATE USE, guests can use the cupboard on the right hand side of the fridge.
4. Use the bathroom's squeegee and wipe the walls every time after shower. You can find it on the left hand side of the hand-wash basin. 5. If you sprinkle when you tinkle please be neat and wipe the seat.
6. Shoes off at the door, this way the apartment will remain cleaner!

The house was big, clean and modern. Our room was neat and clean, comfortable and lovely, there was everything we needed! Mary and Jo were so nice and helpful, they even gave us a fan because the weather was so hot :) and their house is very close to the metro station. I really recommend this room, it was one of the nicest I've slept in!
Away from anonymous hotels, a great and central (10 min to London Bridge) location. Already the first evening started out fantastic as part of an authentic London experience, thanks to Jo's suggestions.
Good quality and value-for-money.
I stayed in London for a long weekend with my boyfriend in June 2014. We had a great time there and really liked Mary's appartment.
The room we stayed in was not too big but totally ok for our needs. It was clean and nicely furnished.
Although we shared the bathroom with Mary and her husband there were no problems at all. The bathroom was very clean, too.
The location was great as lots of bus stops and a station for the underground were nearby.
I would definitely recommend staying with Mary and her husband if you want to do a trip to London!
The house is in a a very good position, in the zone 1 of London, very close to the underground stop Elephant&Castle and near the bus stop. The only downside of the accomodation is that just alongside the building there is a train rail and when trains pass through the noise is quite annoying,particularly during the night. Apart from this, both Mary and Jo have been very nice with me and I felt at ease in their house.
So I have been at Mary's with my sister and her boyfriend in the fall of 2013 and it was absolutely amazing.
Mary and her husband are incredibly great, interesting and kind people and the apartment is wonderful. The kitchen is big and very clean,so is the bathroom, and from the room you can see the London Eye and a part of the Houses of Parliament.
There is also a lot of material about London so you can plan your trips and Mary can give great tips of what to do and how to get along without spending too much money, she was great help for us.
I can just recommend the apartment, we had a few wonderful days in London and without this great accommodation it wouldn't have been as great.

Mary is a great host. Before my arrival, she emailed me a very detailed instruction on how to get to her flat from the tube station. Room was clean and tidy. Had a pleasant stay.
The apartment was close to a train-way, which made some noise, but with the windows closed it was alright. There is a underground station very close to the apartment, and in a view minutes you are in the center of London. We have seen a lot, and had a great time. The only thing we didn't like was the smell of smoke, someone smoked in the building and the apartment. Besides this, everything was very nice.
Mary was a fantastic host! Her apartment was clean and beautiful and easy access to public transportation, about a 5-min walk to the Tube. She was very sweet and helpful in answering any questions we had about London and how to get around. We would highly recommend Mary's apartment. Thank you, Mary!
