Cosy Room in a Musician's House
|地址||Rua Poiais de Sao Bento, 1200 Lisboa, 葡萄牙|
Funkiest viewpoint of all , Santa Catarina , is for those who want to party with beer and tapas ( a modest € each at the small bar ) , one of Lisbon's most sympathetic with friendly Lisboners with musicians , nice aromas and on a hill where you can enjoy the atmosphere.
The view is not typical : open landscape in front of you , just across the harbor and beyond the Tagus , the lights of the bridge and two benevolent arms of Cristo -Rei .
Behind Camões , Rua do Loreto separates the Bairro Alto of Santa Catarina. Facing terrace , the river, and the 25 de Abril bridge there is a stone figure of Adamastor , a mythical sea monster of the epic " The Lusiads . " It also is a nice café where the locals go to enjoy the view of sunset or dawn on the Tagus .
Communication was perfect, all information precise and helpful. The stay at the "musician flat" opened insights into the "real life" in Lisbon and Portugal which would not be possible in a commercial hotel or pension. Thanks a lot for the friendly talks with Ivana and her nice daughter.
After our Booking it was difficult to get the host and at end we got our host over Wimdu. It is the worst place to stay in Lisbon. All things were so dirty and full of dust. There was no Wardrob in the room for cloths. Kitchen und Bathroom were so full of dust and smelling bad. We reccommend who wants cleanliness not take this accomodation.
Isabel's daughter Ivana was very friendly and was in the appartment when we arrived. So there were no problems with the keys. The appartment was nice and clean.
After arriving late, wich was no problem, we arrived at Isabel's home.
The room is small, but if you are only there to sleep and see Lisbon it is a nice place to stay.
The tram stops in front of the appartment, easy acces to the city. I would recommend buying a 24 hour public transport card at a metro station for €6 to use the tram/metro/bus. The public transportation is easy to use if you get the hang of it.
On the end of the street on praca Luis de Camoes there is a very nice place to have breakfast called 'A Padaria Portuguesa'.
Isabel was a great host. She has a nice little flat, where we slept in a double room with breakfast. Her house is very central with nice restaurants and a lot to see around. We really can recommend her. Thank you!
The staff is very nice, helpful, and the first day, at our arrival, the owner prepared us a very good breakfast and gave us all the information we need, the location of the house is perfect for visiting Lisbon, very close to the Barrio Alto and the city center (just 10 minutes walking), the house is beautifull, although the room is little.
We had a very nice stay. Very friendly and helpful people. It's a bit small, but there is a nice rooftop and the breakfast was good and plentiful. It's right in bairro alto and at walking distance from baixa chiado.
