Newly Restored Victorian Apartment
|地址||North Circular Road, D07 H6XD Dublin, 爱尔兰|
A beautifully bright apartment it has a bay window overlooking the city of Dublin with wonderful views of the mountains. We have maintained some of the original features such as the marble fireplace and the high ceilings with coving. This gives a feeling of space and airiness that is hard to find in a modern accommodations. All of our apartments are fully equipped with microwave, cooker, fridge, iron, ironing board and hairdryer to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as can be.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you would need for self catering and we provide freshly laundered bed linen and towels. Maps information and leaflets are provided in the apartment to help guests choose the best sights and things to do and see while staying there. All utilitities, Wifi and parking are provided in the price. There is an excellant bus service that runs right by the house and is frequent and reliable.
Airport transfer available upon request for a fee. I manage to meet most guests on arrival but if I can't I nearly always get to meet them before they check out.
My caretaker lives on the premises and he helps to check in guests when I'm unavailable. I'm always available by phone or email and am happy to assist guests in any way I can. This street is a beautifully tree lined street which runs right up the the entrance of the Phoenix Park. This park is the largest urban park in Europe and houses Dublin Zoo and the presidential home and offices as well as a children's playground. It is a wonderful park to visit and spans over 1750 acres.
The street also has beautiful Victorian red bricked houses all along it which date back to the 18th century so it really is a taste of old Dublin.
There is a major supermarket just 2 minutes walk as well as a pharmacy, bakery, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and many other amenities all within easy walking distance. There are several bus routes right outside the house which will take you directly to the city center. Buses are regular and convenient. We can also provide a taxi transfer from the airport if requested. We can also arrange a taxi for other excursions if desired.
Washer for use of all accommodates of the complex.
As there are other guests in the house we would ask that noise is kept to a minimum at all times and to be respectful of other guests.
Very nice apartment, comfortable and clean. It is very well located, 2 minutes from the bus stop and it takes only 10 minutes to reach the town centre by bus. It had everything necessary and we loved the quietness of the place. No noise at all, it was the perfect place to rest after a busy day. The host was very kind and helpful.
He even left some fruit and dairies as a welcome coutsey.
The flat is comfortable for a small family, not far from city center (about 15 min walk). Liam is very helpful and arranged taxi from and to the airport. We had a great time in Dublin and will certainly stay at Liam's house if we travel to Dublin again..
The apartment was very nice, clean and cosy, fits two people very well. Good value for your money. City centre within easy reach, either by walking or by bus. I would definetely recommend Liam's place while staying in Dublin.
Sehr netter Vermieter. Alles gut verlaufe. Vielen Dank dafür!
A good apartment with all the household items you need. A tesco nearby and the walking distance to central Dublin was about 20-30min, or you had the buses just outside.
Our vacation was partially ruined by chosing to stay in this house. I was fooled by all the positive feedback here. Liam didn't show up at the flat at the agreed time. He did not respond to phone calls. // Afterwards he kept saying he forgot his phone in the car and that he can't do anything but apologize. The weird thing was just that sometimes when I called the phone it was making that sound it makes when the person is already on the phone with somebody else and when I called again the line was free but nobody answered the phone. I can't proove it but it was a very frustration situation. We all felt like he was lying right into our faces. // We waited for two hours and after an hour we chose to wait in the car right in front of the house. An hour later a friend of Liam suddenly appeared and gave us the keys. I asked him what went wrong and he told us that we were right and something went really wrong there but he also said that he did not see us in front of the door and kept trying to imply that we did not wait for 2 hours. Then he said he was in far worse situations and we should feel good that we only had to wait for 2 hours. Liam later said that he maybe sent us an email and changed the agreement. He did not send us an email. The next shock hit us when we entered the wrong flat. This flat that you see above is not the one we booked but it's the one we got. There was only one bedroom. My dad snors so I always make sure to book a bedroom from my parents and one for me. We stayed in that flat for 2 days and I was not able to sleep. The first two days in Dublin were ruined. Then we met Liam for the first time after I told him that we have to do something about this situation. He was there really fast. That was a good thing. On the next day we got to move into a bigger flat. 2 rooms + a bathroom. But the two beds were in the same room. So I slept on the couch in the living room for the rest of the time. It's not fun to write such a bad review but that's just how it was and I really feel like I need to warn people about this place. I've been to Dublin many times and I stayed at great places for half the price of that room. Liam did not contact us again. I could write so much more bad things but I just want to forget this experience as fast as possible. Oh and we also called the Emergency Center at Wimdu. If you expect any help from them you have a problem. They infromed me that in case you can't get into the flat you've booked they will not book you into a hotel room. They will not look for places where you could stay. That's your job. :) They try to contact the person who's supposed to give you the keys,.. and that's all. You have to pay the hotel room or any other place you eventually find and you also have to pay for the flat you can't enter.
Very nice place.
It is just like the pictiures you see on Wimdu´s homepage.
Very clean, everything funtions, very quite and secure.
The public transport is accessible at short walk from the studio.
From the airport is necessary to take 2 buses, but is very easy to change from one bus to the other and when reaching the place you just need to cross the street and you are at the door of the house.
Liam is a very nice and kind person. We could check in 2 hours before and we could also check out 2 hours later, which was very convenient for us.
We recommend it!
A nice appartment in a typical Georgian house in the western edge of the city centre. Close to the appartment: two busstops and four lines (39, 39A, 45A and 70) to the city centre
There is also a Tesco market. Go for a fine dinner to Soul ful and for the better movies to Lighthous cinema.
The adress for music in the pub: The Cobblestone (Nort Kingstreet). The building is rather ugly on the outside. But don't stay outside, enter, take a beer and listen... Great.
